anyone got this going?
is it any good? I like the 50 series size and it's a good compromise on ride, handling and price vs. performance
are they going on a VE or a VT?
225/50/16 is fine for the Vt, but you need 225/60/16's for the VE
i dunno if this is the answer your looking for but
I have VE 18inch wheels on my vt wagon and got a 235/45 (if you want ill run down and check exact tyre size off the tyre) profile on mine which clears the front struts now but when I had 245s on the stock tyres that come on the rims they rubbed on the front struts.
if your car is an s or ss then the size is ok.if it's an exec, berlina or calais then if you wish to have an accurate speedo you'd run 225/55/16.in saying that the 50s probably look better and you'll actually be going slower than what your speedo indicates so you may be less likely to get pinched for speeding.
I'm running 225/55/16 on VE interceptors on my VT Calais. Theyre a much better size for the VT. 50 series diameter is too small.
