Wink Possibly the fuel pump he says...

    Hey fellas!

VT 97 acclaim, Recently been back firing slightly, rough on taking off, feels like shes coughing.. when i put my foot down to the floor it slowly takes off coughing until im going fast enough it stops.. kinda like air pockets or something.

The beauty has broke down on me while driving and the engine died. Now i tried to start her but the engine wouldnt turn over only the starter ticking ning ning ning ning etc but no engine running even for a second..

I talked to my family mate whos a holden dealer down near albury and he said i should check my battery and also spray some starter in my air intake, if my engine runs for even a little bit its the fuel pump he says, what do you guys think?

All electrical works, fuel in car, wont turn over..?

Also guys i wasnt able to ask davo but maybe you could help, while charging my battery on my mates car i jumped inside to start her up.. she went 6ft deep dead, no power, no lights no gauges nothing, obviously a fuse has blown... but which one? I dont have the equipment to test the fuses.. any other way?

    Thanks

try swapping your engine cont relay with your starter relay in your engine bay fuse box, can also be the cause of cars cutting out.

but it does sound liek the fuel pump giving up
