    Default VT II 5.7 / 6 Sp Manual - first time V8 owner!!

    Hi, just bought my first V8 (went to the clipsal this year and decided it was a must !!) My wife thinks its a bit of a mid life crisis...jeez i'm onl 44 Ha ha....

    Anyway, lookin forward to gettin some good info from the forum and seeing whats out there.

    Welcome to the forum! I'm sure lots of V8 owners will be happy to share their knowledge with you, and I'm sure many V6 drivers... will be very jealous of you!

    My first v8 burnout, rev`s car drops clutch looks over at mates to see them cheering me on, but only see a cop standing there
    Real cars don't power the front wheels, they lift them

    i was at times skeptical but a V8 and manual seems to be a winning formula no matter where you are

    Ok so just starting to check out a few small things needing done.

    New gas bonnet struts - ordered from CarsRus in Brissy $30 including P+P
    New original Holden 3 button key - $120 from mr minit is Seaford shopping centre

    Rear passesnger power window not working from front or door button...any ideas??
    Trip computer (single window type) cant reset it...any ideas??
    Would like a new boot/trunk carpet... where from??

    A couple of possibilities with the rear window are, the regulator motor is no good or has a bad electrical connection or there is a broken wire in the door loom, most likely in the rubber boot between the body and the door. That is a common problem.

    I'm in the same boat as you mate.

    I bought my VX SS about 2 months ago now. These forums have helped me so much in regards to upgrades, DIY's, advice and then the general shit talking!

    Welcome to the forums and good luck paying the fuel bill for the first few weeks!

    i have the same rear passenger window fault in my WH, its so annoying, congrats on the first v8 btw
    Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
