Default WH Statesman V6 Engine Vibration at idle

I have noticed this for a while now but when the car is idling it gets a vibration through the whole car and you can feel it through the seats, steering wheel, etc. And when I put it in drive, it gets worse. It is not worn engine mounts because I have checked them and they are fine, and the sump is not sitting on the cross member. I don't know if it is idling too low, but even if it is, its not adjustable anyway. Its not a tune problem either because it revs up and drives without a miss.

Has anyone else had this problem on their VT, VX, WH.... I don't know what else to check.

    Thanks.

Also forgot to add that when i'm driving its perfect. Just happens when idling.

Yeah I was going to check the Air Flow Meter and clean the throttle body if it doesn't look the best. It would be good if when I put it on the scan tool it told me what was wrong but in comes up with no codes because the management light not on.

I haven't checked that yet. I might have a quick look tomorrow night when I get home from work. Is the harmonic balancer common on the V6's to split?

I have changed the harmonic balancer on my vs once but that was because I have to take it off to change the crank angle sensor and I thought I may as well change the front engine seal and balancer while it off.

yeh its pretty common on the V6's, cos the vibration youve described doesnt exactly sound like a rough running motor
see if you can hold the pulley and wobble with side to side (while the motors off)

Yeah well I have just done a full tune up on the car because I thought it was using too much fuel but it was because the tyres were too big.

It's just annoying because when its idling, the dash starts to rattle and you can feel it through the seats, if the engine had a miss, I would have been able to tell straight away because I have seen heaps of cars where the engine is running rough and has a miss in it. This is different though.

Ill try what you said will the pulley....with the engine off haha. I'd hate to try and do that with the engine running.

Well i'm taking the car to work on friday to do a pressure test on the radiator because I think its starting to leak coolant (if I have time) and ill also check the harmonic balancer and put the scan tool back on and check the reading of the AFM. My boss said to try and clean the throttle body. If none of that fixes the problem then its back to the drawing board I guess. Ill let everyone know what the problem is when I find it.
