After months of frustration i finally fixed a small but really anoying problem, the idle on my ls1 would go up and down on a cold start up, almost to the point of stalling, i could hear the air being sucked into the air intake from inside my house, it would get increasingly louder until after about five minutes it would just settle lnto a smooth idle, like a switch been flicked on, the car was just about undriveable if i drove before this, it would jerk about an be very touchy on throttle. After talking to a customer of mine, who tinkers abit on just about anything, he said to clean the idle solenoid in the throttle body, after trying just about everything i was scepticle, but what do you know, it worked!!!!!, so if you have a similar problem, give it a go, it takes less than five minutes and is free!!!

Thats great news mate Im also going to take your customers advice and give that a go as my car is the same,its funny how some things are so simple to others and just frustrating to yourself cheers.

yeh thats it but the spring was covered by a plastic sleeve
