Just wondering if it'd possible to fit the brakes (rotors and calipers) off a VE R8 on a series 1 vt ss? A guy from work offered them to me as he is upgrading to brembo's, so i thought id suss them out, simply because their newer.
In short "no", different offset, different postion of caliper.
A few brake shops on ebay make up brake kits using VE calipers and special adapting brackets and rotors to suit VT-VZ commodores.

but having said that depending how cheap you can get them for you can always re sell them as a profit![]()
Going where no late model stato/caprice has gone before.... GAME ON!!
Would it be possible to get the brackets?
no
there's a place that sells a full kit but they won't sell their brackets at all
^^^Thats not true here you go mate: COMMODORE 330MM BRAKE UPGRADE BRACKETS ONLY VT/VX/VY/VZ | eBay
But is it worth the cost????
Take it easy...But do take it...
Do not argue with an IDIOT.
He will just drag you down to his level an beat you with experience.
Some people take me the wrong way, Like smacking up Marijunna.
damnnn, im not even sure now. more expensive then i imagined.
no need for the sarcasm. in this day and age its not surprising at all for some wank to only sell things as a whole so people either go without or fork out the cash to buy a whole kit.
i reckon hey, you buy a whole kit for the front end for like $800-900 new. im sure the brackets are the cheapest part of the kit, yet they want nearly half the price on their own.
lol
the full kit is like $700
so a set of brackets is about the same as a pair of calipers, rotors and pads...
Those brackets are just for the VT-VZ, not to fit VE calipers.
