As above. I'd unwrap a bit of the harness where the maf sensor wiring branches off, cut and insulate the maf wires and then tape it all back up to look original.

Your missing the point of having a mafless tune by keeping the maf in place. Why not just get a maf tune?????

You can plug it back in, if this is for a regency inspection I was told by my tuner that in the recent years they have been unplugging maf's to check whether it triggers the warning light on in the dash... if not, no pass.

If it is for an inspection, you may need to have the MAF re-fitted and re-activated in the tune.

If it is only for aesthetics, just tape up the MAF wiring loom to the loom it branches off with black insulation tape - that was how the C4Bs (the only factory MAFless cars) were done.

Putting the MAF back on for looks only, will defeat the purpose of the tune, as the MAF is a restriction to airflow. Or, you could buy a VZ LS1 MAF and get it re-tuned to suit - with MAF fitted / activated.

Why don't you get a factory chip, which I imagine would be fairly cheap, slot it in, and then sell the MAFless tuned chip for some decent profit?

Or does it have other mods that require the custom tune?

I just plugged mine back in with a maffless e85 tune whilst goin through regency for my inspection. They did look to see if it was plugged in but did not disconnect it. I've also relocated my PCM and they did not notice it was missing.
