remove black strips from roof

i'm certain they must have a correct name other than "black strips" however,whatever they're called how easy is it to remove and replace the 'black strips" without damaging them cos one of mine needs repainting

you can... they slide forward towards the front windscreen and you need to pull the windscreen rubber down out of the way, its much easier to mask it up and paint them in there, i left mine in for the respray so i didnt break them

cheers mate,masking sounds like a plan but although one side is still perfect the other is in a pretty bad way with paint actually peeling off it and it needs stripping so i'll pull the rubber down and try to slide them as you said.

im sure i rang holden about these wen chasing up moulds i think they r just called roof top moulds? they quoted me $105 left n right, typical lol
