Fitting a VX HBD front skirt? Help please

I bought a VX HBD front skirt (part number: 14A1000212) under the impression I could just unscrew the lower part of my Calais front bar and swap it over with this. Because I didn't bother to check for myself before buying I've now noticed that the grey lip part on my Calais front bar is attached in a single mould piece.

Do I have to cut my front bar to fit this HBD lip? Is there something that I am completely missing that will allow me to just screw this one on?

Nobody? If nothing else, does anyone know how to get the grey lip off of a VX Calais Series 2?

I would have thought it just goes over the top then glue it on...

i agree with cul, pic it up,
but it should slip over the grey part and screw on just like the vt ss lip kit does for the vt bars

I feel like a bit of a moron but it slips over and screws on just like the VT SS lip kit does for the VT bars. lol I did stick it up against it when I first got it but it looked like it would be too narrow to slip over. Thanks for the replies guys and feel free to pull the piss.

Yeah should just go over the top. i have a full lower hbd kit in the shed. and she goes right over and locks in.
