VT V6 Oil light

When the motor gets warm the oill light comes on i've changed the sender switch is it more than likely the oil pump

How many Kms has it done? Could be oil pump, relief/regulator valves or if its mainly at idle its probably excessive main or big end clearance (or both).

thanks for ya comment it's only at idle when in gear and car done 320000 k's

Its alot of k's, my guess is that its a combination of worn bearings and maybe a worn oil pump. Try using a thicker grade oil, like 20w50 or even higher and see if it fixes the problem for the time being. Long term you will probably end up having to rebuild the engine if its the bearings or overhaul the pump and its control valves depending on what you find when you pull it down.
