hey, ive got a vt commodore and was going to flush the coolant out and change then half way through realised you need flushing kits etc. so not going to bother doing that and already pulled the bottm radiator hose off to drain coolant. i only lost about 1.5l. with hoses back on do i top up the coolant straight into the radiator to top? just seemed to be putting way more than 1.5l in this time? over flow is full also? help
thanks
Ensure the car is on flat ground and is cold. Open the radiator and pour the fluid into it... Start the car with the radiator cap off and the water pump should start to take the water through the block, top it up again... Put the cap back on. Be careful you dont get an airlock in the radiator hose.. You can squeeze them to feel if its got air or water in it.
All to easy! Thanks mate.
