hi,
i have a very annoying problem with my vt when cold it will crank fine but wont fire. when the problem first started i noticed the battery terminals where loose if i wriggled them the car would fire so i have replaced them as they did not clamp on tight enough the problem is still there iam now wriggling the wireing loom between the injectors and oil pressure switch this works most of the time. problem only seems to occur when the car is cold. any susgestions or help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks,
Justin
forgot to add car is a v6 series 2 acclaim, never stalls once running, going to replace the cas tommorow
thanks again,
Justin
i have now replaced the cas , the knock sensors and the starter motor. the starter motor issue is now fixed but i have now found using a noid light that my injectors arent getting a pulse when it wont fire so there is something stopping my injecters from working. any ideas what this could be
thanks,
Justin
fuel pump or filter? can you hear the fuel pump when trying to start?
Hey Mate, I had a similar problem last week. I thought my fuel pump had died cos the car would crank fine, but not kick over. It gradually got worse over 2 days till it finally died.
I had it towed to a mechanic thinking it will need a new pump. They tested the pump for power and it wasnt getting any.
So they swapped out the fuel pump relay with another one and she started straight away.
Might be worth swapping out your relay with another to check???
Jarrad.
dfi module will cause the injector not to pulse i would change that
thanks guys fuel pump is fine can hear it pumping and dfi module has been changed several times
