Wondering if its worth painting my vy ss rims in white? My vt sedan is white just wondering how it'd look? Any suggestions?
I know black has been done to death but it looks so fkn good
Would black suit it? I'm thinking black would go with my tinted tail lights and side indicators and once i get monaro head lights it'd all go together.
I wouldn't bother.
Just keep in mind painted wheels will get stone chips.
keeping white wheels clean and looking good would be a chore.
If done right it'd be hard to chip. I dont smash my car around or anything.
Correct, if done properly the last for ages.
Black suits every car mate, have a look at joshs VU to give you an idea
Oh thats nice. Definately thinking of going black![]()
Interesting.
My WH Grange wheels have copped stone chips, and thats with durable paint in the shadow chrome finish.
what type of rims you wanting to paint?
Try it out first with alloy rattle cans... you can buy ones with primer and sealer all in one at Bunnings for about $12. I did mine a while ago on my 4wd, they get chips/scratches now and then as I use it off road, but then I just spray over the scratches.
Why not powdercoat? Deeper gloss than any paint and its stronger.
