Hey, so i'm getting my first car, a 2001 commodore vx executive. Its black and comes with dual airbags and all round power windows and steering controls (i thought these only came on later badges). I am getting it quite cheaply and i have a bit of money left over that i want to spend on it. I'm looking at getting an exhaust system, extractors, ss induction kit. What should i get? Something that gives a nice sound but doesnt draw too much attention, cheaper is alos better as i am on a bit of a budget. Where would i get the stuff from aswell? (ebay, local performance store etc) Finally, i want to put a sound system in it. I have already talked to some people about it but haven't made any conclusions. I want a nice sound with decent bass. Could i get this from just a head unit and 4 speakers or would i need to get an amp or two and a sub? Again budget... Cheers
all depends with your exhaust and how much money you want to spend on it, for just a nice sounding exhaust just get a 2 1/2" cat back. that will cost like 300-400$ for a v6.
and your answer to your stereo system for the fully sick doof doof your after, yes get amps and subs will be the best way to go, and maybe throw some 6x9's in the rear parcel shelve, and some 6" speakers or splits in your front doors.
fair enough, does the brand matter? What about extractors and an air induction system?
Ha i don't mind if its not a fully sick doof doof, just something with nice sound and a bit of bass, could this be acheivable without a sub and amp? If not, should i run everything through one amp or get a separate one for the sub?
mate if you want bass Go Option audio
i have an OA Extreme Sub with a Pro Series Amp the thing pumps out like No tommorow set the alarms off in the carpark..
not that pricey either just head down to ur local autobarn or WOW and look them up
is it worth just getting a new muffler tip rather than redoing the whole exhaust system?? im just woundering how it will sound?
