    Default VY rooflining into VX

Hey guys i bought a vy/vz sunglasses holder and im thinking of replacing my current roof lining with the same colour out of a vz that has the hole ready.

Is it easy to replace the lining? an will the VZ one fit on a vx?

Spot on!! And since you would have to take your old one out to put a vz one it, why not reupholster it in your desired colour. Id imagine it would be cheaper

Well the roof lining is 80 bucks

My current lining has a nice cutout where the previous owner had a dvd player mounted. So replacing the lining would kill two birds with one stone

Not really champ, I'm pretty sure most of the lining and plastics are the same. Essentially, the VT-VZ were the same platform, so a lot of parts are interchangable.

If you are keen on a VZ lining, may I suggest a VZ Calais lining and plastics? It's covered in black cloth and looks very impressive.

Damn, I went into Holden today, roof linings for VX are discontinued, none left in Holden Aus or NZ. I would have liked one of those cheap ones. Oh well custom job it is.

I did my own in white vinyl. I've re done my entire interior. Just get vinyl dye and re do the plastics and get fabric and do the roof lining. Pretty simple

    Just my bloody luck.

I'm on very good terms with the parts guy at my local, he showed me the monitor with the discontinued and the none available. So unless his computer is f'ing up (which would surprise me with the ancient programs dealerships use).....

Than again, he was looking up Berlinas, but the rooflining in 'Neutral' color was used in a lot of models and the part number was the same, and those were the ones unavailable.

Still my VX Berlina has that dark grey interior color scheme, except for the pillars and up which are all the beige colour, so I'm thinking of doing some colour-coding and paint the pillars and do the rooflining in that dark grey colour.
