gday all,
i just bought a 1997 VT wagon,
not bad for a swap, pritty much got it for free, got a few problems with the engine mounts but they are being fixed this weekend, bought parts from repco pritty cheap, doing the replacements myself, easy and cheap if you know someone that can help you out, just buy them a case or watever,
also customizing the interrior from prostreet a seller off ebay, seats, and triming asccesories, pritty cheap and doing that myself as well, also 2-DIN incar DVD player with GPS,bluetooth pritty cheap, also slapping some 18's or 19's on, not sure about 19's though, anyone had 19's on a commodore? how high does the car sit? or would it look better with 18's?
cheers,
J.T
u could have a look at my vt with 18's and king spring lows . but u could slam it on 19s aswell .. watever you like.
My vt berlina
heard some good and bad things about proseats.
let us know how you go
19" generally look better than 18" on a vt i think. if you go 19" you may get rubbing issues, but 18" should be ok. if you find a set that look good on the car in 18" maybee go for them, unless u get/have a camber kit in rear (i assume u will lower it too).
make sure the big roundrubber radius (camber) bushes are ok too. if they are old factory ones, it might be a bit boaty in the steering
oh, as u r doing interior, make sure to disconnect the battery before removing the seats wiring, or youlle set off the airbag light
