when you doo the dash replacment duzz it show the km spedometer of the new dash or duzz it show the auto reset the origanal kms of your old speedo to the new one i need replace mine but all the secondhand ones have higher km on them than mine.????

Your odometer reading is stored in the cluster itself, if you replace it, it will read whatever the secondhand ones say. So far as I know you need a tech 2 to adjust it, know you can add to it, but not sure if you can roll it back.

from time to time they pop up on ebay with fark all kms, i nearly bought a HSV one that had 45,000kms on it, the bidding started to get out of hand though lol

Some of them do, I want a 3 window cluster, and in all likelihood it will have much less km's than mine. But I wouldn't want it unless I could match it too mine. Which in the case of MR VX would mean adding about 380,000 lol.

this is correct, i was interested at the fact it was a 3 window cluster, as my SS is only 72,000kms anyway its not lying to much lol

i may or may not have sold my old EB with 220,000kms on it with a cluster that said 104,000kms and didnt include the service history.

the fella i brought it off on ebay programed it to suit on vx v6 specs and kms reading from the older cluster. All i did was tell him what i have ect.... vx manaul v6, one air, abs, cruise control, and so on and he programed it, I paid for it and installed it the day i received it the mail.

Ummm.... 43km.... lol

Personally since I won't be reselling I'd rather keep the original km's, it's more impressive that the car has gone far without... exploding.

any 1 who doesnt get the original ODO reading done properly is a douche, all i can say is 1 day karma may get u back on ur next deal buying a car

Tho 4 legal reasons im pretty sure if u document the lower KMs reading in a log book stating the cluster has been changed at such n such KMs so u can keep track of the original KMs then u should b fine.

ive read that you cant reprograme a vx cluster after it does 100 meters not a 100kms, that 100m gives the dealership enough to load or unload it from a truck, that way they can reset it back to 00000ect. But i was told you can reprograme a vt cluster after 100m. the vt cluster has a white back cover and a vx cluster has a black back cover.
