Default Bcm differences - where to find?

    Hi peeps,

just wondering where i can find a specific listing of the differences between the codes of the BCM's, as in the different features.

I have a series 1 LOW VT exec. and just picked up a HIGH VT Calais BCM for Nix and want to know what im going to gain ...

I found it on the web somewhere and cant seem to find it again

    cheers:
    Craig

I can't help with the listings but I can say that you won't gain any extra features just by changing the BCM but you can add things like, power windows, variable speed wipers and auto lights on just to name a few.
Also, if you change the BCM you will need to get it linked to the ECU otherwise the car won't start and you will need the remote that goes with the BCM.

I dunno how the speed sensitive power steer works on Holdens but if it was as simple as fitting a new BCM (which i doubt) you'd also need the varible power steer switch that goes on the rack. Also, I have a VT Executive but with factory power windows so I got the MID series BCM so when I fitted my HSV instrument cluster the full trip computer (3 window display) all worked.

I'd say you would be able to get steering happening but you will need the correct rack and steering pump and you may need to add some wiring because I doubt the wiring would be there.
