    Default Disconnecting fuel lines. Urgent!

Hey all, we are pulling the Ecotec out of my son's VT. All good until.... How the hell do you disconnect the quick connect fuel lines near the firewall?

    Cheers.

you have to depressurise the lines and then slip something round in behind the connector and it should then slip off. when i did the wifes VX te other day, i just pulled the rubber off the rail itself. and then put a new screw clamp on instead of the crimped one.

Or, the nozzle from a tube cut up works aswell

How does that tool work, Sabbath?

Not quite sure how this would work.

Where the fuel lines come up by the firewall (supply, return etc) slip the tool over the solid part of the line with the fattest part of the tool facing the firewall, then push the thinner part in under the coupling. Push the line towards the firewall and what the tool does is disengage the clips for the fuel line

You can make your own tool.
From my Gregory's, the handiest tool of all.

Thanks for the replies, fellas. I used a silicone nozzle, like suggested earlier and got them off. Once they are off, I can see the four clips inside. Wouldn't have been able to work it out without you guys I don't think.

Well the engine and tranny are out, now gotta put them back in on monday, DOH!
