Default 2000 wh s/c v6- blown head gaskets

Just a quick Enquiry guys have a 180,000 klm WH STATO with a factory S/Charged V6 in it,, Has a few mods like; Di Fillipo extractors and twin 3' exhaust, Front mount cooler, MSD ignitions, running Yella Terra PSI pulley kit, special ground crow cam, followers and chip, yella terra roller rockers and has been dynoed and is runnin 195 kilowatts at the treads.... Has had a few problems and now its blown a head gasket as it pressurises coolant system (when running and radiator cap off shoots a fountain off coolant,) maybe a fault from the dodgy mechanic that did the cam.... Who in QLD Mackay area can build me some decent heads and get some decent gaskets??? as im sick of f*#kwit mechanics that charge me big money for shit work:boxing :... I reckon it should be runnin more kilowatts than that but maybe im wrong not sure ... Plus i have been told that the bottom ends are weak in these s/c 6's is that correct???? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Get a workshop manual and a quality tool kit,and start doing your own mechanical work, that way you know its always done 100% right and at the right price..Its hard to find a decent honest mechanic who know their stuff..

If it were me this is what I would be doing.
    1. Check heads for cracks
    2. Use Cometic head gaskets and follow the instructions to the LETTER. (except the copper spray, i highly recommend it!)
    3. Use a set of ARP head studs.
    4. Replace LIM(lower lintake gasket) with the metal ones.
    5. Take it to someone that can log the ECU when on the dyno (blown head gasket can be from detonation in the L67)
    6. Slap idiot that said L67 bottom end is weak, many have exceeded 400RWHP. If said idiot is your mechanic, NEVER go back.

Torque and power don't simply come from bolting bits to the engine. The L67, like most engines really does start to get better once the tune is "optimized" for the setup.

When you do things right, people won’t be sure you’ve done anything at all,,,,,,,,,
