To reply to your question about the seats, i would be led to believe that the cost of doing this would pretty much be not worth the advantages you get out of it. I have an 99 exec VT and i have to crank tunes to stop my mates falling asleep as the standerd seats are "that" comfy (well thats what they reckon, but one of them drives a Toyota Van). I would also reccommend not using the Holden CD player as it doesn't give you some of the options a cheaper after market one would.
If your car doesn't have volume controls now i wouldn't reccommend getting a steering wheel put on, buy a good Pioneer deck (bout $500 would be fine) it will come with a remote it will be able to run a ten stack. There are som many options when it comes to making a commodore better but you should way up the pros and cons of every idea you have. If you have just won the lotto go for you life, otherwise have a long think about what will bring you the best results cheaply, because if petrol continues to rise, there will be a hole in all commodore owners pockets.
