which car bra?
Hi guys, new to the forum so apologies if this is in the wrong place!
I just moved to Australia from the UK, bought a commodore, so i'm pretty new to the cars in general too.
I've been watching over the past few weeks my front bumper, and the stone chips on it getting worse and worse. And i'm actually getting more at a stupidly fast rate, so i've been looking at getting a car bra.
Now as i'm new to commodore's, i'm not entirely sure what body kit my car has fitted, therefore not knowing which spec i'll need to be getting!
I've been thinking that the bloke i've bought the car off (who makes/fits and paints the body kits himself) has used some really s**t paint? or is it because the front end is so low?
Anyway thanks for any advice on which body kit i actually have lol (i'm really not as thick about cars as this question makes me sound)

I'm about to have my car fitted with Stoneguard - the invisible car bra (almost).
Stone guard, Paint protection film, Clear bra, PPF film | Complete Surface Systems
Had it on my last car and in the three years since installation, not one stone chip.
I also had a real car bra fitted to a previous car but did not remove it when I stopped the car after rain and the paint on the painted grille peeled
Current Ride: 2011 VE Sedan - In Voodoo of course.

i dont really like the 'invisible' car bra, But i dont mind the black ones.
To the op please get a better link i cant see anything.

IMHO i think you will need to get a custom bra made to fit mate. He is right with what it is. Is it fibreglass?

he was referring to the fact it isnt a genuine E1 HSV bumper, but one of the ones made to suit a VT/VX.
the shit comment was as in the front bar is shit, of shit quality. no one is saying you car is shit.
i'll have to message round then, kind of sucks! and no i don't think it is fibre glass. are the 'proper' kits made form fibre glass then?
i paid just under 7grand for it mate, was a repairable write off (road rage so i don't see how they classed it as a write off) has about 150k's on the clock.
it may not be genuine because the guy was making his own 'mimics' i guess, i just didn't know if it was an exact example of another model, so yeah i can understand that. I'm from the UK and new to actually owning a car that has more than a 1.2 litre engine, shoddy bodywork and probably not even power steering, so i've got a lot of pride in my car here and get a bit defensive that's all.

to be honest i want to do a lot of work to it, performance and visually so i'm not 100% happy with how the car is at the moment now anyway. but first things first is preventing my fuc*ing bumper getting anymore stone chips! lol thanks for the help guys.
Robco Car Bra are good to deal with, they made a one-off for me and did a good job.
IMHO I'd cover up that front end as well
make a thread of your ride with heaps of pictures and also put down what mods you have done and what mods you want done in the future and people will help you out with ideas
