    Thumbs down Painting dash

Hey all, just looking for some general opinions.
I currently have an all grey VX interior: handles, vents etc.
but iv seen a few write-ups on painting door handles/ dash parts.
most ppl paint their's silver but i was wondering what everyone thought of doing some parts black?
    so this would include:
    - cluster surround and gearstick surround
    - front windscreen vents (the small long bit that also covers the tweeters)
    - door handle surrounds (not the bit you grab)
    - Air Vent Surrounds.
    - and probs some of the door too? just to be fancy. (so the middle gap between the two grooves where the manual winders usually sit)
oh and probs the speaker grills also.

So colour will be matt black (as matt as possible cos glossy will be too reflective n look melty)
second colour is the obvious silver..
    thoughts?

i did all mine in matt black with a coat of clear in the end, stands out from the rest of the shitty grey looking parts. and for parts like your door use vinyl paint, i used it and came up good.

nah no pictures as i Dont have the car any more.

yeah just plain cheap ass acrylic paint is fine for your plastics, also with your plastics get some wet/dry sand paper like 1500grit (i think) and sand the plastic make it nice and smooth, then get some cheap wax and grease remover eg: prepwash. to remove any crap left on the plastic, and read over the How To's to get a nice end job with your spray painting.

and yeah vinyl from supercheap is 18$ a can in matt black.

im really likin the silver, but dont want it too bright in my car, and i think the blue is a bit vibrant for me, though it would def suit the blue footwell LED's and cluster i have
im still gonna go with black, got a week off after next week so ill do a show crapload of painting then n try n post wen i get round to it
any prep work for vinyl besides grease remover?
