alright, just now i was driving home from the girls house
and i turned onto a main road, started off in first gear, then at about 3000rpm it sounded and felt like the enigne was being choked. and had the exact same feel as if i were bunny hopping. then i turned into a street and went slowly from 1st to 2nd at 2000rpm and then at 3000rpm in 2nd gear it did exact same thing. it feels like the engine is struggling big time, but only for a few seconds, so i pulled over and idled, the idle was so rough the whole car was shaking. i was in neautral at this stage, then it turned off with the engine light on.
any one have any ideas?
No real idea, but could be the cat, might need a new one.
First thing to check would be plugs and leads and if they are ok it could be any number of things, coil, fuel filter, just to name a couple. It sounds like it's missing, so definitely check plugs and leads.
MY RIDE
I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
how do i get the leads n plugs out? twist or pull hard?
its a vu ss
maybe an injetor is stuck on! was there heps of white cloudy smoke from exhaust>?
this happened to me i had them cleaned then about 1500km after that is just started missen and shaken the whole car! turned out to be an injector stuck open
nah no smoke at all, clear exhaust.
it did happen at high revs, but now its doing it at any stage, i tried to get the injectors out but geez they were hard. so im gonna jus take it to a mechanic n see what they can do.
well...........
car was at the mechanics all day today. couldnt find the problem for a while, checked spark plugs, leads, coils, fuel filter, fuel pump, fuel lines ect.
turns out the people who installed the extractors didnt insulate the cable going from the exhaust to the computer and it totaly melted away. so if i gave it a bit, which created more fumes, the computer wasnt sure what the hell was going on so it sputtered and chocked itself. no damage. now its got double insulation and is tied to the clutch cable.
