    Default Wide tyres...

I currently have some 235/45 17 inch wheels on my VX s-pack. I was thinking about going for some 255/40 tyres on the rear.

Anybody see any issues with this? Eg. rubbing against springs/guards or something?

Anybody else got 255mm wide tyres on their VT/VT?

245's won't be a problem but why would you want to go a 255? And why would you want to alter your profile?

i doubt if 255's will help in the handling dept.will probably make your ute feel more like a water bed through any high speed corners.

I would of thought 255s would be much better than 235s, as there is 20mm more on the road, which means more grip? iv been thinking of putting 245s on the back on my VT S-Pac... You gotta do all the things you can to commie to make them handle better lol :P

    Cheers.

edit. - just get your guards rolled, or depends how low the car is sitting i guess

What sort of mags do you have, 8", 8.5", 9"? You are going to fit 255s on an 8" mag without some serious diagonal sidewalls.

just informing everyone i have the 255s on my 17" x 8" SS rims. Hardly any sidewall flex at all. Grips very well. A great improvement from my old 225s.
