If it's one thing that gets plenty of talk. it's v6 exhaust. jump on the search tool and they should come up all over the place..

Also youtubtheirer everywhere.. don't worry to much about 2 mufflers or single mufflers. mines got the single muffler and it's pretty quite. actually it'quieterer than my old VP which has a muffler and rear hot dog. that car can be heard streets away.

I can do a Manta 2 1/2" cat back for $220 shipped to your door. Add $385 if you wanted to do extractors as well. You can add a high flow cat as well, but all it will do on a V6 is make it louder, the stock cat flows well enough for the 6. There is no welding required to fit the extractors either, so you could do it all yourself.

Yep, Wildcats, made by Genie. I do these because they are the easiest to fit. They slip onto the original Y pipe, no need to weld flanges on like most other brands.

No rear resi, might be to much. Mines a single muffler straight through rear and I truly think its not loud. I even joked about how quiet it is. He said ok. Want me to fit a 3" rear after the muffler, I'm sure you will hear it then.

so what are peoples thoughts on the rear muffler? My V6 VN had one and you could hear it from blocks away, would leaving it off on the VT make it to loud?

It will make it louder, but I dont think it will compare to the noise a buick v6 single muffler would make.

ebay is your best bet, at the end of the day its a v6 all your exhaust is going to do is make noise... mine cost me $50 it's one of the easiest mods and it takes minimal knowledge and not even a full day.. grab a mate, some drinks and play some 104.3 FM and learn as you go !
At least FORD circled the problem

even though it is a v6, it is still going to alter performance

A larger more free flowing exhaust will change your torque curve (acceleration you feel) through the rev range. It will shift it higher. It will feel like you have lost a bit down low but you will gain more up top. It will also give you better highway economy.

As I said, I can ship a 2 1/2" cat back to your door for $220, very easy to fit yourself.
