could be nothing, could be something major. if you have no idea take it to a mechanic.

without hearing it i can tell you if its making these noises cold and they go away once its warm, its pretty normal for an LS1.

If it isnt tuckin, it must be suckin

hey bud, like the others say i wud ask a proffessional to ensure that bearing noise is nothing major, could b as simple as your power steering pump has been run dry once or could b a rod bearing chewing your crank to behond servicability, to do your own services is quite simple once you get the hang of it and what needs to be done and the right things to use, Oil i would use what your local holden dealer suggest, (wieght and viscosity) also i get plugs from dealer not a bad price, leads supercheap and oil and air filter supercheap, should be fine for standard service, most important thing is to try service it regulary 10'000klm's or evin less, also in your owners manual book it should have service intervals and times and what should b checked and done. Also if you can get a gregories manual from supercheap or somewhere aswell it would be a great help to you.. i am not a expert jus suggestions..
Btw mate if after all that your car still idles a bit rough may be worth while to clean the Idle air control valve on the throttle body it builds up carbon and crap, ls1 factory tune is rich lots blow back it fouls things up after a while..
im sure then it would idle well

hi all, thanks for all your reply's, i ended up speaking to mechanic and it ended up being, that i needed to run a higher octane fuel optimax 98, runs good now no noise, but is due for service, i am currently running castrol magnatec 10w 40 oil
with about 140,000 on the clock this should be ok.

i want to achieve the best performance out of it and want running sweet.

what brand of spark plugs, oil filter, fuel filter, gearbox oil, ect.......

    thank you all.
