LSD not perfoming , If i turn right , the right wheel spins , If i turn left , the left wheel spins , In a straight line , only the left wheel spins , And In the wet the left spins through 1st gear , but as soon as second gear hits , the LSD finally engages and is very bloody dangerous , can anyone help me as to why the LSD does not engage straight away , PLZ .![]()
I believe the technical term for you diff is " rooted "
Sounds like it needs to be rebuilt.
Seriously , what needs to be rebuilt , just the diff centre or ?

ok thanx guys , i was kinda dreading that answer though . does anyone no what kind of price id be looking at for a rebuild , and what would be better , 3.7 or 3.9 gears , i had 3.9,s in my vr 5L ss and ****ing loved them , but just wondering if theyd be to much for a 5.7 or not as a daily driver ?
The only noticeable difference between 3.7 and 3.9 is the ~200rpms while cruising.
Whilst you're at it you may as well change the cam to match the new diff gears..![]()

ill take it down to the driveline specialists here in armadale tommoro if i get time , ill let ya ,s know what they say , cheers all
sorry to interject but would anyone know any info on tightening the f**k out of a single spinner and whilst at it getting 3.7/3.9's gears.. all to make it act like an LSD.. is that even possible ?

Hey guys , i was told today by a diff rebuilder , that after the series 2 vt LSD,s , they are no longer able to shim them , there 1 unit now instead of 2 , he said i need to replace the LSD , hemisphere and put a bearing / seal kit threw it , parts and labour , cost of around $1200 . does this sound rite ?
