    Default Leaky VT2 V8 Calais

    Hi

I have a Gen III V8 Calais VT2. Every morning I find a very small puddle of oil on the drip tray.

There is nothing under the engine (had the sump gasket replaced a 6 months ago) and the leaking oil seems to be around the leading edge of the gear box (torque converter) housing. A few drips appear on the gearbox sump cover but that may be blowing back from the front.

All my fluids seem to be OK. I had thought maybe it was a leak from the Torque Converter seal, but the gearbox oil is a nice pink DX3 colour and the dripped oil is a gravy brown colour.

Can't figure out where its coming from???

    Cheers.

Tranmission has to be removed to get to it. Seal is on the back of the engine where the crankshaft runs.
