Default Wtf is wrong with my commodore this time........... :(

    Hi Anyone,

Had to replace the ignition barrel a while ago, this was nothing new as it happened to my last HC99 also, ran great for a while, however now when you turn the key it doesn't lock back into neutral mode, its like the key stays on full, so you get that hideous noise, we have just started manually turning the key back to where its supposed to be and it sits there okay, however now the computer seems buggared, so ERROR comes up on the LCD, then most of the time all the lights come on for the airbag, oil etc... all of them and it makes beeping noises and then they all stay on..nothing happens to the car but there is definately something wrong!!! There is also a whistling sort of noise when accelerating sometimes.... coming from the engine, it feels like it has to do with the accelerator only, its wierd.. do I need to take my baby in to the shop??? what am I looking at here?

Key wont spring back after you crank it is that what your saying? Ignition switch is probably nackered. Lights it sound like you have an abs module that has packed up if all the lights are staying on, disconnect the abs module and if most of them go out you know its that. Whistling sound could be an idler more than likely.

I agree, the ignition switch and the ABS module.

I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken.
