Hey guys, Thought I'd do a write up on my new car : )
Model: VT Calais International
Year: 2000
Engine: Supercharged L67
Colour: Stone Grey ( I think?)
Interior: cream leather and suede
Factory Options: Sunroof and spoiler
Price paid: $3,000
Km's when bought200,000(mainly highway K's)
Mod's/what I want for the car:
Genuine VY Signatures
5mm red walls
two and a half inch twin exhaust by Hillside performance
Pacemaker extractors
SL king springs on the front
SSL King springs on the rear
blue LED's throughout the interior.

I like the cream interior. Not sure about the mods but I'm not a car-mod type of guy. I maintain them clean and original, much cheaper. However what I'D do is......
- no body kit
- ditch the spoiler
- cool sound system
- when possible, re-install supercharger badges
- lower it a tiny bit
- spend rest of money rectifying any mechanical, trim, body, electrical gremlins you may find.......i bet you'll find 'em.....

i wouldn't bother with too much mods but i think this would look mad with a monaro front and projectors

engine cover certainly is different mate.
Hahaha I know VT's arnt worth shit but the market value on this is $10,000 according to AAMI. For 3 grand I was laughing, gotta love the old man for having his connections.
Yeah I like the simple look too but I like to make it my own personal car :P I'm thinking no kit, no spoiler, dumped and sigs are the way to go for me.
I still have the internationals as they are dads fave rim so I can't get rid of them, I'm driving around on them
At the moment until I can get new 19 inch tyres.
As for the exemption I applied fornit online as this make and model commodore is avalible for application.
What are your thoughts on the cover? :P

Sooooo, Driving down the road the other night at the speed limitand the glass of the sunroof fell off... shot off.
I honestly was like wtf?
The frame and everything is still there but the glass that shot off like an injector seat is shattered (obviously). I got a quote for $850 just for the glass which in my opinion is F***ED!
does anybody have any idea what I should do? I've seen some complete sunroof's on ebay for about $100-150, I'm thinking maybe using the frame and glass of one of those? Might be cheaper but I'm really just concern of this happening again!

WTF! 3GRAND FOR THAT?!?! SHIT! >.< I paid 2800 for my POS car.. and You've got a Supercharged VT Calais for $200 more! so wish I looked around before buying my car.. Ive spent more on repairs then anything else >.< Car = 2800.. Repairs = 5500 (atleast) and its still a POS

Thanks though! Don't feel bad though, all the boys at school are spewing that they spent twice to three times as much on there cars yet mine is the other one with rims, sunroof, leather interior, and the fact of the supercharger Its quicker then all of them by miles!

Damn good buy, I don't like Calais grills and the wood grain inside but they are very nice cars.

Not really too sure yet, I like them but obviously I like the sigs a lot more, I'm thinking selling the internationals, but I'm scared I'm not gonna get #### all for genuine set of 5 perfect condition Internationals!

Yeah I'm not a fan either but because its a international it didn't have any of the wood grain.

It's one very rare colour, i think one of the best in the VT range easily. Tell your mates to get some prescription glasses lol.

Hahah yeah I love it! I thought it kinda looks charcole but I do kinda see the blue, but up close not really.

Good news about the Sunroof, Turns out even though its a 2000 model it was still part of the recall so I get a new one for free!
Pretty tidy mate. How did you go on the exemption? I'm on my p's just got me a supercharged VT S. Sent away for exemption yesterday. How did your engine cover paint up? Was it professionally done or did you do it? How much? $3000 damn good price. Almost too good. Just paid $7000 for mine.
