My tyres are rubbing out on the inside rear tyres and i got told i need a camber kit, but i keep reading that Series 2 have a camber kit, whats the go? also i got told there are 2 different types of camber kits in the rear end?
series two as fair as im aware do NOT have a camber kit, rather an extra link. it helps with the rear end camber but doesnt solve it. for example my VXII SS was on ultra lows, and you couldnt see any camber at all, when i had a wheel alignment done on it it had less then a degree of negative camber. whereas others have complained of excessive rear end camber.
a VXII only needs a 2 point camber kit as opposed to a 4 point.
The series 2 has adjustment, but it's only really toe. You can get two different kits, a 2 point or a 4 point. For best results fit a 4 point, it gives you a lot more adjustment. I can do you a 4 point SuperPro kit for $175 posted.
go for camber kit, professional fitting and full wheel alignment.
I'M in Adelaide, any recommendations on what place would be the cheapest, and how much would i be looking at for 2 point fitted or 4 point fitted approx?
dont get a camber kit, I been told to get most of the gear out of the ass of a vy as they are camber corrected and it should all fit in.... but it wont help your case if you are gonna do anything than run it any less than standard ride height.
well i am running it standard height, not lowering it
wouldnt that cost me more to get the stuff out of a VY?
it will cost anywhere between $450 to $650 depending on how compentant the mechanic is![]()
It would be a big waste of time and money to swap a VX2 rear end with a VY rear end as they are the same.
