    Default VX SS stuttering

    Hey

    Im completely new to this...

I have a 01 (pretty sure) VX SS Commodore that I bought privately about 6 months or so ago. From day one its had a stutter it only happens when you get to speeds between 80-100 and mainly when you are going up hills... on occassions it will do this when on a flat road too... has anyone had trouble with this? Got any suggestions?...

Its fully up to date with services.... and no mechanics have mentioned anything unusual to me?

    Help!

Have the spark plugs and plug leads been renewed in the services you mention?Thats the first place Id look as old plugs or leads can start to break down when the engine is under load, and then cause misfiring or spluttering etc.

It could be a spark plug but it is more likely to be a bad lead. I've had this happen many times over the years and it's always been a lead, never a plug.
