Shifter Issues, Getrag 260, Shifter partern is more forwards and to the right

ok well i fitted a new getrag 260 on the weekend after i blew my last 1 up doing a power run, everything is bolted up fine but the shifter patten is now more towards the top right.

Any ideas

I'm clueless

Evan, I think you've connected the shifter to the linkage rod out by 180*. The shifter is not straight and has a cranked angle in it. Spinning the shifter shaft 180* before connecting to the linkage rod would move the pivot point quite a bit and give the problems you're experiencing. Drop the linkage rod, spin the shifter 180* and reconnect the linkage rod. This pic should clarify it for you.
