Hi All,
I just had a coolant leak fixed and now I think I am going crazy, the car feel slightly more responsive.
The items on the invoice were as follows;
Thermostat,
Seal,
Gasket Valley set,
wash down
Coolant and some hose clamps.
The work details were: Removed inlet manifold, replace seals, gasket, thermostat and flush cooling system.
I asked what the wash down was and he said the inlet manifold was cleaned because of a buildup of gunk inside.
So Tell me I am crazy and there was no improvement in response resulting from the above. There car just feels a little less tired and a little more crisp on acceleration.
Cheers,
Jez
If the plenum chamber and the throttle body were heavily gunked up, its possible it might feel a little better, but not a lot.
