VX II Berlina keyless entry

Hi,
Today when i went to unlock car i used keyless unlock, and when i went to open driver door it was still locked. When i used the actual turn to try and unlock it the inside door opener popped up just a little bit more and i was able to open the door.
Its just the drivers door that does this, and just wondering why the whole insider door opener isnt popping all the way up, i have to manually open the door instead.

Any ideas?

Could be the door lock actuator, they are known for only opening a little bit when they start to fail

So does key need to be replaced?

Are you asking if the key need to be replaced if you replace the actuator? No. The lock on the door is a separate part joined by a rod.

Mine was doing the same thing. Pulling out the actuator and lubricating it seems to have done the job.

yep, my VZ did that, first the drivers door then the passengers, holdens just replaced all actuators and it worked fine ever since, you can get the actuators off ebay for cheap...well cheaper then holdens
