97 vt commodore indicator problems

when driving at night i indicate to go around a corner i proceed and straighten the wheel back up and the indicator arm wont click back up,when i do it manually the high beam comes on and blinds the on comming traffic,i think i have to replace the indicator arm.

You do need a new indicator stalk.

Do a forum search , as there is an excellent step by step instruction with pics of how to replace the arm. Easy as!
