Hey everyone,
Iv got 18x8 rims with 235/40/18 just wondering what the ideal tyre pressure would be? Not sure if this helps but i do alot of hills (as in hard corners etc.)
any help would be greatcheers
38 psi is what I had my 18s on
I run 235 40 18" and it all depend on the road surface, smooth highway style roads, I put them at 40 psi, but rough outer suburb roads, bout 35... Depends really on you and wat sorta ride you want....
No one can answer that question properly as every tire takes a different psi in it, it just depends on how good the tire is and what you like! You also haven't provided what tire you've got, you posted up the size of the tire which could be any one of the 10000 tires out there that are made in that size.
Best way to answer your question is: check on the side of your tire look to see what the suitable min-max pressures can be and pump the tires up to around three quarters max pressure and go from there.

No worries, thanks for the info everyone![]()
i used to work at a tire shop, the general rule of thumb is whatever your rim size is, double it and +2 so for you a tire shop would recommend 18x2 = 36 +2 = 38PSI
