Hi all,
Recently I have just purchased my self a newish 1999 VT V6 Signature Class.
My first issue was the weight >.< . Parked on the other halves lawn the other night and unfortunatly got stuck> After giving it lots of shit and about 20 minutes later I finally managed to get it out how ever since that night even going round a corner and kicking it out there is a really large clunk clunk clunk comming from the rear... which sounds like the whole arse end is going to fall off =/ .
How ever my real questin is ( Yes I have read the commonly asked questions section) But If I am right and it is th diff? Unless anyone would think its anything different A. Do the V6 VT's come with a LSD diff or if so WHAT V series diff will fit straight in and replace this other one whealer squealer?
Thanks to everyone that can help.
Cheers,
Ben
I have a spare good condition vt v6 diff had done an honest 160k before i pulled it, it was from the v6 vt i bought to do my ls1 conversion not sure about lsd though think its just standard diff, i had heard under high one wheel spinning diff chattering is normal, not sure its a good thing to spin one wheel to much though, It could be something else besides your diff aswell such as cv joints or something, or evin tailshaft, or your rear subframe rubbers could be worn, it would pay to take it to someone who could help pin point the prob with you, if it turns out the diff is gone well pm me i do you a fair deal.
the car this diff is from was manufactured on 12/98 but was just standard executive v6 vt base model.
