    Default car won't start unless i press the acclerator!

    so basically my car won't start unless i press the accelerator and even then it struggles to start takes a few goes, if i let it idle the revs go down and the car turns off...
    anyone know the problem? im thinking maybe fuel filter? or sumfing to do with the fuel

    Blocked/faulty IAC or IAC air path.

    yeah true true when i started it i had to rev it pretty hard though and the exhaust had a fair bit of smoke (clear not black) don't suppose thats my head gasket gone is it? just read a post about that.

    Or the vacuum line going to the fuel purge valve, its the hose connecting underneath the throttle body, very common for them to come loose and cause exactly what your describing.

    Pretty much any of the vacuum lines will do this. OP check the one under the TB (very very common one, I recommend to all to put a clamp on it), and the three behind the plenum chamber.
