Hey
Just done the valley gasket replacement job on my standard v6, cleaned the plenum, manifold, throttle body etc and got it all back together nicely EXCEPT for one hose that comes off the bottom of the throttle body - not the PCV hose which comes in the side of the throttle body. It is a rubber push on hose and when the engine is running it has suction. The holden service manual says it is the heater vacuum control hose which makes sense but I'm stuffed if I can figure out where the other end goes. There just isn't anything in the vicinity of where it goes. It runs underneath the plenum towards the firewall and according to the manual, tees in to a heater control hose. There is no hose, no tee and I don't have any bits left over. Anyone done one of these and can help?
Pete
p.s. I've got a heap of photos and will try and put together a how-to for this job.
It's exactly where the manual states it is. Reach down behind the manifold on the drivers side and you'll feel where it has to go.
Although if you're having trouble, i dont see how you plan to put together a how to.

It is really easy to remove off the throttle body but the other end is very hard to see and even harder to refit the hose into if you happen to pull it off - also easy to do. Manual just doesn't show any detail of the area so had to do some head scratching. The heater control hose is really straightforward by contrast.
