I just bought a 2000 caprice ss with the v8 gen iii engine. It being ss (sports) it has 325hp. This car has same engine as 1997-2002 commodore. Plus I did not find any forum for holden caprice except the usa caprice classics. So this is the closest. The car is in very good condition, really well maintained and looked after. It has 296K kms on it. I also own a 1998 honda crv and recently got a valve job and timing belt done on it. Does the caprice require the same. What should I get done: valves? timing belt? Any kind of service? Also what kind of maintenance does it require.
