Default VT FE2 / King Springs (might be answered previously...)

    Hey everyone

Iv got a VT S2 S-Pack commie, so it comes with FE2's i was just wondering how much stiffer if at all king springs would make the ride... and also if i would get defected with 'superlows' all round... iv got 18inch rims on my car atm if that helps this question at all... any info would be great as king springs are real cheap these days

    Thanks heaps!

PS. It says the superlows are 50mm lower than standard, im guessing that means an executive VT ??

dont know but im interested to see the answer as im in the same position, although my car will only just roll over a coke can...so its the most legal low you can go.

I'm running King Spring SL on 19's and went through a booze bus last night and nothing was said, sits nicely as well. Haven't had any troubles, and I don't find the ride too bad either.

And to your other question, yes, that would be 50mm lower than a VT exec.

    Hope that helps,

I have SL Fronts and SSL Rears which makes it sit beautifully (on 17's). However, i'm more than defect low due to my exhaust hanging low, and the body's roughly 95 as well.
I got told SL + SSL makes you sit right on 100mm, apparently not.
But $230 for the pair, $350 installed.

    For the record guys:

It's 100mm from the lowest structural part of the car (so mudflaps, etc don't count) with ALL seating positions filled with a person weighing 85kgs's. So if your car sits 100mm guarantee you it's defectable. Also keep in mind there are laws in place requiring headlights/number plates to be at a certain height.

Also, I believe there is no "legal limit". You might say to a cop "nah mate, it's bang on the legal limit" but cops seriously don't give a fk, if they sticker you then tough titties, no skin off their noses. So either risk lowering or don't lower it at all (or bags.).

If it isnt tuckin, it must be suckin

I emailed king springs this is what i got back

"Our Superlows will lower the car 25-30mm from FE2 height. They will also have an increase in spring rate of 15%, which helps the car keep off the bump stops."

Hope this helps with anything as its helped me

but cheers everyone else for your inputs/info
