4 into 1 headers, 100 cell cats, twin 2 1/2'' catback, mafless tune and otr should make it more fun. Then think about doing your diff gears.

    electric supercharger from ebay?
haha yer and a $20 chip off ebay haha

To OP, as i say to everyone, if you dont need a tune after doing a mod there will be bugger all difference. may as well do the cam, the rockers and mabe the heads, then do little things like the exhaust and intake. and if you do a normal tune instead of a mafless one, you should be able to add the exaust and intake later down the track with out retuning it as it should re-adjust by it self.

The exhaust will make a huge difference. The stock manifolds and exhaust are really quite restrictive. You should do the exhaust BEFORE you change internals, why put in a bigger cam to get more air in and out but leave the restrictive exhaust on it to choke it up?

The PCM doesn't adjust, it compensates. It only uses timing and fuel trims to compensate for differences in conditions, it doesn't really adjust the tune itself.

please tell me you are kidding.

exhaust and intake FIRST, or you arent going to capitilize on gains from heads/cam.

cams and heads are usually the most expensive and the last things you do

can you get a set of cams bought and installed for less than $2k???

If your LS1 is no faster than your old Ecotec, first go fix whatever is choking the poor thing before you go about modifying it.

Couldn't agree more with the above, I have owned both and no comparision, something must need attention on your LS1.

    yeah it goes without saying

above 150km/h, the LS1 does not let up, 4th and 5th gear easy

    the Ecotec is struggling hard

Yep +1 id be giving it a full service and check over before you start modding it, check all your plugs, leads coils ect, air filter, oil and oil filter, maybe even the fuel filter, then see how it goes after u have checked all them things out

top end is where you should notice the most difference. my ss is only a 5L and it pulls away from v6's, more noticeably in the >100 range, an LS1 should be getting better then that, much better.

i know that feeling, i went from a WRX to a 5L SS. i love the ss, its much more comfy to drive and alot nicer to just casually cruise around in. but damn it feels like a snail compared to the rice burner.
