Question lowering vt with phat tyres?

    dHey all.
Been debating with myself for ages about the whole lowering my car sitch. I want to but the cost etc etc etc... My cars standard exec height at the moment, though due to towing for years I think it's a tad lower than stock.

ANYWAY, recently i purchased some new rims, and its running 255's on the back (255/30/18), which i think are fatter than the average. If i dropped to SL height, would this cause rubbing? I'd get a camber kit if that changed anything.

Also, on full lock i can hear my front scrub a bit, thats on 235/40/18 i think. Would lowering create a problem there?

    thanks for any advice!

255's should be fine on the back SIG 054 was running 20's with 275's slammed.

if the front wheels are hitting the strut you have the wrong offset, they are most likely to hit the inner gaurd as the plasctic pulls away and breaks easy.

thanks for the info mate, might check his ride out

And I wouldn't think it would be the offset as they are holden wheels, infact vt gts wheels so i'd figure they would suit my car being a vt?
though i may be wrong, still a few things wheel wise im unsure about

take the wheels off and look on the inside for the HSV mark and offset marking should be 48P and I can't think why they'd hit the strut if there geuine with correct tyres
