Default VT - Fuel indicator screen not accurate?

My VT's Fuel indicator screen is not really accurate?

When i completely fill it up it displayed 550km left, when I first got it it displayed 600km on a full tank.

so maybe the auto elec did something and now its not so accurate, as my radio also reset to wanting the code

Is there anyway to reset or recalibrate it some how?

They constantly recalibrate themselves as you drive. If you do a fair bit of highway driving it will climb up, I had mine up to 900 klm at one stage.
If you drive around town, or sink the boot in, it'll drop down.

This is true, whenever I disconnect my battery the reading is a lot higher after reconnecting the battery than before.

    yeah don't trust it

mine errs on the side of caution so it sits on 0km when there's still 15 litres in the tank

so i just fill up when it beeps because running out isn't fun
