VT transmission problems?

recently my VT has been playing up... when its in P or D it would just rev itself to like 1.5k - 2k RPM and it will constantly do it... and when im driving sometimes it just stays in 3rd gear and it wont shift...
is it the throttle sensor or?

nah i didnt do it.. i just read around the post about people having the same problems as me... i changed my TPS and everything is fine now... but every now and then a orange light looking thing comes on? its under the temp bit.. not sure what it is..

That's you check engine light and you should check for fault codes. Checking error codes VT/VX
