vx ss thermostat question

hey guys, just a quick question, how fast should a vx ss heat up? mine seems to take about 20 kms on a 100km as we live rural and also it is around 10degrees but that shouldnt matter should it? When it eventually heats up it is fine and stays at normal temp, is my thermostat on its way out or is it just me

I have never really timed it but my VX SS comes up to temp a lot quicker than that, in suburban driving I would guess in around 5 to 7 minutes or maybe 4km to 5km, I usually leave home and go a few blocks and maybe the first set of lights if I am stopped and look at the temp it is getting pretty close to its normal spot. Definetly nothing like 20km.

does it seem weird that my temp does not fluctuate? just takes a while to get up to heat

Mine is the same, it's because you are doing high speeds and the air is keeping it cooler longer! If u were going slower it would heat quicker

Ohh and mine is about 10-15 degrees when I start my car too!

strange, i have never seen this kinda thing before in any car, my v6 heated up within 5 minutes in the same conditions

My miss's has a vx v6 too and hers takes about the same time and distance as mine
