Question VT v6 series II Exhaust Help 2.5"

hey all, i recently went to exhaust brothers to inquire about an exhaust system for a bit better note, Nothing too ridiculous but just a bit louder and better. They said they can supply a 2.5" system fitted for $380.

Today i went to west exhaust asking for the same thing and they said they can do a 2.5" system for $275 fitted.

Both places say they are legal and they will improve the sound immensely.

My question is... what to get? :S

The vt is an auto :/ but both guys said it will still sound pretty good and not like just cutting off the rear resy and putting a straight through in.

I want this to be legal and if not then as LEGAL as possible.

Has anyone got an exhaust from either place and can anyone recommend something to me or what i should do...

    Cheers Darcy.

get a 2.5, u shouldnt have to pay more than 250 man...

chances are the 380 will come with a rear hotdog as well. as long as u have the front muffler it will be fine

did they say what it is? 2.5 with 2 mufflers or 1 muffler or 1 muffler and 1 resi? I'd go the one muffler and one resonator.

nah not me but planning on it. Auto tends to drone more then a manual but a 2.5" with front muffler and rear resonator should be sweet man thats what i plan on getting

Go 2.5 straight thru no centre or rear muffler/resi crap. Sound loud as ### drone or not who cares. I love drone with a passion. Ohh yeah

it takes the drone out and softens the noise a little. Its a v6 and auto I wouldn't be smashing a straight through pipe on it man you'll look like a dick lol

they rear resy is what gives the system the deep note, without they tend to sound a bit raspy

If it isnt tuckin, it must be suckin

so you would suggest a resy? is it still easily audible when you accelerate?

i got the exhaust done today, one redback muffler + resy, It is sooo deep, i wasnt expecting it to be as deep, not as loud as i thought but still easily heard, i was so happy when started it up to idle and the frequency was even lower than the music playing through my sub, it sounds amazing to me, not a slight bit "tinny" or high just all low and deep.

I'm so happy :P can't wait to cruise some more in it

Just wait for the fuel usage to go up, as you step on the gas to hear more sweet music.

haha yes true but i always love accelerating and you only hear it at low revs so i probably more want to idle along nicely to hear it :P

thats why i always recommend a resy, thats what gives you the deep idle, in exchange for high end raspiness.
as the exhausts breaks in it will get a bit louder
