Check for weak spark, if the spark is ok,
I would check the fuel rail pressure while revs are up.
Best way to check coils is disconnect both leads on one coil pack at a time then start the engine . If the coil pack is good there should be a solid spark between the terminal posts ,if not replace the coil .
If you don`t want to break it , then don`t bring it out to play with it !
The best way to check the coil pack is actually reading the resistance of the primary and secondary windings to spec
The best way.
